THAM’S BEST-SELLER / 120 THB
Searching for the best mango sticky rice in Bangkok? Put THAM’s best-seller on your tasting list. Ripe mango, soft sticky rice and rich coconut come together in a Thai classic, served for 120 THB at our street kitchen on Yen Akat Road.

Mango sticky rice is known in Thai as khao niao mamuang. Its appeal starts with contrast: juicy fruit, a soft chew from the rice and the richness of coconut. Taste a little of each component on its own, then take a spoonful together. The difference is part of the pleasure, whether this is your first Thai dessert or the one you always return for.
For us, this is a dessert to slow down with. The mango brings brightness after a savoury meal; the rice gives the dish substance; coconut ties the two together. You do not need a long tasting vocabulary. Start with whether you enjoy the balance, the texture and the way the flavours linger.
The best plate for you may be the one with the fruit you enjoy most, the texture you remember after dinner, or the balance that keeps you returning for another spoonful. Notice whether the mango is pleasant to eat and whether the rice has a soft, satisfying chew. Coconut should add richness while allowing the fruit to remain part of the experience.
A photograph can help you recognise the dish, but it cannot communicate its aroma or texture. Use photos as inspiration, then taste for yourself. Different kitchens may use different mango varieties, garnishes or serving styles. Ask the team about the day’s preparation if a particular ingredient or topping matters to you.
THAM’s Mango Sticky Rice is listed at 120 THB. It can be the finish to a meal or the reason for your visit. The current menu brings the price together with the rest of our Thai desserts, so you can decide whether to enjoy a mango plate on its own or explore a few different textures with someone else.
For contrast, Coconut Ice Cream is 60 THB and Khanom Tuay is 60 THB for three small cups. Mango Sticky Rice and Khanom Tuay together come to 180 THB before drinks or any other orders. These are separate menu items, not a special set or a discounted offer.
Our Khao Tom Signature, a gentle pork rice soup, is 140 THB. Together with Mango Sticky Rice, those two dishes total 260 THB. Chicken Pad Thai is 160 THB, making noodles followed by mango a 280 THB food order. Both are straightforward ways to plan a meal while keeping dessert in the picture.
If you prefer a more savoury contrast, Pork Pad Kra Pao with rice is 150 THB. All dishes are served non-spicy by default, and you can ask for chilli when ordering. Your choice can follow the flavours you like rather than how much heat you are willing to tolerate. Browse the full THAM menu for ingredients and available extras.
THAM is at 15, 1 Yen Akat Road, Chong Nonsi, Yan Nawa, Bangkok 10120. We open Monday–Saturday, 8:00 PM–1:00 AM, and close on Sunday. The closing time falls in the following morning. No reservation is needed, so you can plan a casual evening visit without booking a table in advance.
Takeaway and Grab orders are available. You can also contact the team to arrange delivery to your hotel; confirm the hotel address, availability, timing and total before placing the order. For dietary requirements or allergies, ask about the exact preparation rather than assuming that every mango dessert has the same ingredients. Our visitor FAQ includes payment options and contact details.
Our longer mango sticky rice story and home recipe explores the ingredients, preparation and different ways the dessert appears. If you would like to widen the tasting, read about Khanom Tuay or Thai Coconut Ice Cream. Each gives familiar coconut a different texture and setting.
The invitation is simple: come with curiosity, taste the components together, and decide what makes a mango sticky rice memorable for you. At THAM, our best-seller is a good place to start that conversation.
